Buffer Spine

Buffer Spine (W5)

The buffer spine is the acoustic separation wall between the west zone (VO Live + Control) and the east zone (Video/Podcast). It is the only permitted HVAC duct routing path between zones. (Door D2 deleted in Rev2 — the buffer is not a walk-through corridor; it is the isolation break + HVAC path.)

D1 (to Video/Podcast, opens out) and D5 (to Control, opens out) are the external entry points — both swing outward for egress + interior floor space (outside landings at both). The buffer spine (W5, STC 55) separates west and east zones. Door D2 is deleted (Rev2) — Control is entered only via its own external D5. D3 + the VO/Control partition + the OW-1 observation window form the sound-lock on the Control–VO Live path.
