Overview
This schedule defines interior finishes for all four spaces in the MediaVerse studio complex. Finishes are specified by room function: recording spaces use vinyl (for hybrid video/podcast use and rolling equipment), operator spaces use carpet (for seated comfort and quiet operation), and the buffer spine uses sealed utility-grade finishes.

Skirting & Base
Base Trim by Room Type
| Floor Type | Base Treatment | Applicable Rooms |
|---|---|---|
| Vinyl | Vinyl cove base, glued to wall | VO Live, Video/Podcast, Buffer Spine |
| Carpet | Carpet tuck-in at walls | Control Room |
In all cases, the base trim must conceal the 10 mm perimeter gap between the float floor and the wall base. The trim is decorative only — the acoustic seal is provided by the sealant beneath.
Perimeter Detail
Float Floor Perimeter Gap
A 10 mm gap exists between the edge of the float floor and the wall base in all rooms. This gap is essential for acoustic decoupling — it prevents sound transmission through rigid contact between the floor and walls. [AC]
- Gap width: 10 mm (consistent around entire perimeter)
- Sealant: Tremco acoustic sealant (or equivalent non-hardening type), applied to fill the gap [AC]
- Cover: Skirting / base trim installed over the sealed gap
