D1 — Entry Door

STC 50 · 90 × 220 cm · opens OUT

High-mass entry leaf with 50 mm solid-core timber, 12 mm mass-loaded vinyl both faces, heavy-duty hinges, neoprene compression seals, concealed closer, and Pemko 411 automatic drop seal at the threshold [AC].

D1 is the highest-isolation leaf in the project and must be shimmed square before seal compression is adjusted. The closer must pull the leaf fully into the perimeter gasket without bounce-back.

D3 — VO Live Door

STC 45 · 80 × 220 cm

STC 45 interior acoustic leaf — 45 mm solid-core timber, 6 mm MLV both faces, steel lock-zone reinforcement and compression seal perimeter — at reduced 80 cm leaf width for the VO Live partition opening.

Because D3 is narrower, closer force must be tuned carefully so the leaf does not rebound off the compression seal. Do not substitute a standard residential latchset.

D5 — Control External Door

STC 50 · 90 × 220 cm · opens OUT

External entry door to the Control Room on the south wall, opening outward. Double MLV stack, 15 mm rebated frame, 3-point locking bar, and compression seals on all four edges. This is the highest-performing door in the project [AC].

Site Notes

  • Shim all frames plumb and square before gasket adjustment. Seal compression is only valid after final alignment.
  • Do not bridge thresholds with flooring adhesive or skirting. Keep the automatic drop-seal travel path clean [AC].
  • Lock hardware reinforcement plates must be concealed within the leaf build-up and must not short-circuit the perimeter seal line.
  • D5 rebated frame and lock-bar receivers must be coordinated before gypsum closure on the Control south wall.
