Build sequence
1 Buy the desk
Order the ready-made desk (Glorious Sound Desk Pro / Zaor Miza). No site fabrication — replaces the old build-a-desk guide.
2 Assemble & place monitors
Assemble per the maker's instructions; set the monitors on the desk's meter bridge / stands.
3 Place the desk at its DESIGNATED spot
Per the locked SSOT: desk ~78 cm from the west (diagonal) wall, facing the OW-1 window; do NOT push it against the north wall (leave the gap for monitors + sightline). Engineer chair 114 cm from the south wall; monitors form a 1.2 m equilateral triangle, listening position 1.54 m from the front wall (72% depth). Desk joinery: see locked DESK-LAYOUT.
4 Cable management
Route audio/USB/HDMI to the patchbay / floor box; keep mains and audio separated; tidy with trays/ties.
5 Decouple the monitors
Put the monitors on isolation pads/stands so they don't transmit into the desk; final level + tilt to ear height.
Golden rule: A bought, lab-built desk beats a site-built one for cost, finish and ergonomics. Position it for the equilateral monitor triangle; decouple monitors so the desk doesn't resonate.
