Shim the frame perfectly plumb/square and lock to studs — the magnetic seal only compresses against a true frame.
2
Grout-fill the frame
Fill the frame solid (no voids) and cure — mass + rigidity hold the keeper steady.
3
Seal frame-to-wall
Non-hardening acoustic sealant on the full perimeter. Never expanding foam.
4
Fit the steel keeper strip
Continuous keeper on head + both jambs, aligned to the leaf's magnetic gasket; mitre at corners.
5
Hang the leaf
3 ball-bearing hinges (100kg); adjust so the gasket meets the keeper evenly top-to-bottom.
6
Adjust the magnetic gasket
Set projection so the magnet makes full contact along its length — a soft pull/click on close.
7
Set the drop seal
Automatic drop seal contacts the threshold across the full width on close; keep its travel path clean.
8
Verify (HOLD POINT)
Paper-drag continuous on 3 edges, audible click, full-width drop seal, no light leak from a dark room.
Golden rule: The seal IS the performance for an opening. A perfect leaf with a leaking perimeter fails — verify continuous magnetic contact + full-width drop seal (light test).
