D-07 — Framed openings (BOQ): the D1 + D5 openings are NEW FRAMED OPENINGS in the SOUTH GYPSUM STUD wall — steel subframe/posts + head per the IAC doorset schedule; the subframe carries the ~75 kg leaf + slam loads; weatherseal D5. NO concrete cutting, NO lintels — the south wall is a stud wall (S3-SITE-TRUTH §2/§5); no usable existing openings exist on site. D-08: external threshold LANDINGS + step/ramp at D1 + D5 (inside FFL +150mm vs corridor slab) — landings BEFORE either door is hung; internal D3 threshold = SPLIT plate, one half per raft.

Door Leaf Construction (All Doors)

Asymmetric layered construction for maximum STC performance:

Outside →
Steel outer ........... 1.2mm
Butyl rubber .......... 1.5mm
MDF ................... 15mm
Rockwool RWA45 ........ 50mm core
MDF ................... 15mm
Butyl rubber .......... 1.5mm
Steel inner ........... 0.8mm (asymmetric)
← Inside
Asymmetric design: Different steel thicknesses (1.2mm outer vs 0.8mm inner) prevent coincidence — both faces resonate at different frequencies, improving broadband STC.

Triple-Pane Construction

Glass ................. 6mm
Air gap ............... 100mm
Laminated glass ....... 10mm
Air gap ............... 75mm
Glass ................. 8mm
Asymmetric air gaps: 100mm + 75mm prevents coincidence resonance between panes. Different glass thicknesses (6/10/8mm) further decouple resonant frequencies.

Sound Lock Concept

The buffer spine (W5, STC 55) combined with D3 (STC 45) forms the acoustic buffer protecting VO Live from the corridor. D2 deleted (Rev2) — Control is entered only by external door D5, so the buffer's Control-side face is now a sealed wall with no door penetration, which improves isolation.

This is why the buffer spine exists — it's not just a corridor wall, it's the core of the isolation strategy protecting the most critical rooms.
